JOE HOLIDAY BOOTCAMP

Let’s make money and new friends by starting a small business over the school holidays!

Perfect for teens and tweens (aged 9 to 16) who have ample free time during their school holidays, the JOE Holiday Bootcamp is a 4 full-day programme which will end with the Mini-Market Fair on the 5th day – a platform for students to experience being an entrepreneur themselves!

The JOE Bootcamp utilises a 40-hour entrepreneurship programme syllabus and incorporates various teaching techniques including hands-on activities, classroom instruction, project work and participation at a real-life flea market.

The programme covers all 4 phases of JOE’s holistic and comprehensive syllabus which allows participants to learn about:

  • TRAITS OF AN ENTREPRENEUR (i.e. teamwork, creativity, innovation, problem-solving, risk-taking, passion, goal-setting, recognising opportunities, etc.)
  • INTERPERSONAL SKILLS (i.e. communication skills, networking skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills, leadership, etc.)
  • BUSINESS SKILLS (i.e. financial management, competition, basic economics, marketing, customer service, etc.)
  • PREPARE FOR THE MINI-MARKET FAIR (an ALL-CHILDREN flea market)

Each session is from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. Details of the Mini-Market Fair can be found in the programme schedule. The best part is, breakfast, lunch and tea breaks are included!

JOE FAST TRACK

Designed as an after-school programme, the JOE Fast Track spans over 5 months with 20 sessions of 2 hours each.

The JOE Fast Track utilises a 40-hour entrepreneurship programme syllabus and incorporates various teaching techniques including hands-on activities, classroom instruction, project work and participation at a real-life flea market. At the end of the programme, students take part in the Mini-Market Fair – a platform to be entrepreneurs themselves!

The programme covers each module in depth, giving students time for greater contemplation and reflection as they go back and put more thought into the tasks given.

JOE DISCOVERY

Have a talent or a skill? Make money out of it! JOE Discovery serves as a platform for children to take up a skill and learn how to make a business out of it.

THE CHEFTREPRENEUR 

Always admired skillful chefs at work? Be transformed into a chef and an entrepreneur!

Learn effective business techniques and how to bake simple desserts like brownies and cookies. At the end of the programme, these baked goods can be sold at the Mini-Market Fair!

The programme allows participants to learn about:

  • Simple baking techniques
  • Kitchen tools and equipments
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Basic business terms
  • Art of Selling
  • Budgeting and Financial Planning
  • Marketing and creating marketing collaterals
  • Prepare for the Mini-Market Fair (an ALL-CHILDREN flea market)

THE ARTREPRENEUR

Want to be the next Picaso? Learn how to be an artist and an entrepreneur!

Learn simple painting techniques and create art masterpieces to be sold at the Mini-Market Fair!

The programme allows participants to learn about:

  • Simple painting techniques
  • Learn how to paint on canvas
  • Basic business terms
  • Basic economics
  • Art of Selling
  • Budgeting and Financial Planning
  • Marketing and creating marketing collaterals
  • Prepare for the Mini-Market Fair (an ALL-CHILDREN flea market)

JOE @ SCHOOL

Still, under development, JOE@School is designed for students in both private and public schools.

The 12-hour long programme is short and sweet – not compromising the entrepreneurship lessons to be imparted to the students!

The Mini-Market Fair is not included in JOE@School. All sign-ups for JOE@School has to be done through the school.
